Preparing for you visit
Your immunization history and travel plans are important in determining your travel needs. Please bring the following information:
- Childhood immunization record
- Documentation of all your immunizations
- Travel itinerary with departure dates and all destinations
During your visit
When you arrive for your appointment you will complete a screening questionairre. Once complete, a healthcare provider
will meet with you in the consultation area to discuss the details of your visit, your medical history and your
current health status. If you will be traveling, the healthcare provider will inform you of required and recommended immunizations.
In most instances, many patients will be able to receive immunizations or prescriptions for preventive medicine during their first visit.
Some patients may need to schedule additional visits to complete their care.
The healthcare provider will also inform you of general travel health guidelines, such as food, water and insect precautions.
Particular health risks and disease outbreaks for the region you are traveling to will also be discussed. Please
ask any questions you may have about your travel health safety.
After you visit
VaccineXpress offers complete vaccination care, from immunizations and preventative medicine, to post-travel care
in the event of an illness. If you return home ill from your travels we can provide the necessary medication.
You can travel with peace of mind knowing there is treatment readily available upon your return.
